Our mission is to reverse the decline of songbird populations in the United States by planting three keystone native trees or shrubs in each backyard (or front or side yard) in America.
By doing so, we provide places for butterflies to lay their eggs, food for the caterpillars that hatch, and much-needed food for baby birds.
But seriously, the long term plan, the hidden agenda – is to get more people every year learning about keystone natives and their critical role in our environment, and choosing to plant more natives in their own backyards.
We believe there is a lot to be hopeful about. The news around us every day is terrible. It’s easy to feel overwhelmed and feel there’s nothing we can do.
